1. Introduction

Prompt God("we", "our", "us") operates the AI prompt enhancer website at https://promptgod.tech and the Prompt God Chrome extension. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following information:

• Google account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. This is used solely for authentication purposes.
• Payment information: Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see, store, or have access to your credit card details. Stripe may collect information as described in their Privacy Policy.
• Prompt data:When you use the "Improve" feature, your prompt is sent through our secure backend to an AI model provider (currently OpenAI) for processing. The original and improved versions of each prompt are saved to your private prompt history so you can review and reuse past edits. We do not log or read the surrounding content of any page - only the text you explicitly choose to enhance.
• AI tool context: We record which AI platform you used the enhancement on (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude) and which rewrite mode was selected, to power per-user analytics and improve the service.

3. Cookies

We use only essential/necessary cookies required for the service to function properly. These include:

• Authentication cookies: To keep you signed in across sessions.
• Session cookies: To maintain your browsing session.

We do not use any tracking cookies, analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party marketing cookies.

4. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used exclusively to:

• Authenticate you and provide access to the service
• Process payments via Stripe
• Provide the prompt improvement functionality
• Communicate important service updates if necessary

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

• Stripe: For payment processing only.

• MongoDB Atlas: Hosts our database where account information and prompt history are stored at rest. See MongoDB's Privacy Policy.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. All communications between the extension, our backend, and downstream providers are encrypted via HTTPS. AI provider API keys live only on our server - they are never shipped with the extension or exposed to your browser. Authentication is handled by a short-lived Google OAuth token bound to your account.

7. Data Retention

We retain your basic account information (name, email, profile picture) for as long as your account is active. Prompt history (original prompt, improved prompt, AI tool, mode, timestamp) is retained per account so you can revisit and reuse past edits. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us - see Section 8.

8. Your Rights

Under applicable data protection laws (including GDPR and CCPA), you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Object to processing of your data
• Request data portability
• Withdraw consent at any time
